　　Water

　　Water is very important for living things. Without water there can be no life on earth. All animals and plants need water. Man also needs water.

　　Water is found atmosteverywhere. Even in the driest part of the world there is some water in the air.

　　As we all have found out, water may be a solid, or a liquid or a gas.When it isa solid, it may be as hard as brick, When itis a liquid, you can pour it out of a container. When it is a gas, you cannot see or feel it.

　　Although about 70 percent of the earth's surface is covered with water,there are many places in the world still running out of water. So we should make good use of water on earth.

　　Almost everyone has seen bamboo. Bamboo grows up straight and thin, with branches at the top. It has long leaves.It looks like a tree, but it is really a kind of grass.

　　There are more than five hundred kinds of bamboo. Some grow over ten meters tall, and some are only a few inehes tall. Bamboo grows best in places where it is warm and it rains often.

　　The long stem of bamboo is hollow, which makes them light and strong.People use it to build houses and bridges over rivers. It can be used to make tables,chairs, baskets and many other things. Bamboo is also made into paper. The tender young shoots of bamboo are tasty. People like to eat them.

　　A tiger is a kind of catamount animal. It looks like a cat, but much bigger than a cat. A tiger is very ferocious and it eats mainly meat. It has yellow and black streaks all over its body and it looks very beautiful. Its tail is long and strong and it can hit its quarry dying.

　　Tigers live in the thick forests and small animals in the forests are tigers' food.

　　During the past years, many forests have been cut down and the living conditions of the tigers are becoming worse and worse. There are fewer tigers left in the world now. Tigers are the animals of the world, and they should have their own living spaces. We must do our best to protect the tigers and their living environment.

　　老虎是貓科動物的一種，它看起來像貓卻比貓大很多。老虎非常凶猛，是肉食性動物。它全身是黑黃相間的斑紋，看起來非常漂亮。它的尾巴又長又有力，能夠打死它的獵物。

　　老虎生活在密林裡，以森林中妁小動物為食。

　　A new park for children has been set up to welcome' the coming of Children's Day,

　　The park is in the south of our city, covering an area of 500 mu. Entering the park you can see statues of children in different races, hand in hand,which is the symbol of the world peace. In the middle is a lake, around Which are all kinds of trees and flowers. There are many boats on the take and some children are boating happily, To the south of the lake is a hill with a lot of monkeys on it. The Children's Pa]ace lies to the east, in which all kinds of exhibitions are on show. To the west of the lake is a place for children to play, where there are many recreational facilities.

　　兒童公園

　　為迎接兒童節的到來，新的兒童公園已經落成。

　　公園位於城南，佔地500畝。走進公園，你可以看到不同種族的兒童雕像，手挽著手，象徵著世界和平。中間有一個湖，周圍有各種樹木鮮花，湖面上有很多小船，孩子們在愉快地划著。湖南面有一座猴山。少年宮在湖的東面;裡面有各種展覽。湖的西面是一個兒童遊樂場，裡面有各種娛樂設施。
