下載（Download）是指將檔案從FTP伺服器複製到個人的計算機。 下載檔案的早期辦法是直接用FTP軟體訪問已知的FTP伺服器，並用規定的命令獲取檔案，即命令方式。從Internet上下載檔案的方法主要有直接從網頁或FTP站點下載、用斷點續傳軟體下載和以電子郵件形式下載。
