公升

公升，通常簡稱為升，是容量計量單位，符號為l。過去曾經採用小寫手寫體作為符號，但由於印刷不方便，所以改用大寫印刷體L。升本身不是國際單位制（SI）單位，但它是米制單位，而且是接受與SI合併使用的單位。 最初的法國米制系統以升作為基本單位。litre是從更舊的單位litron發展而來。litron來自於拉丁語轉譯的希臘語，大約等於0.831升。升在後來的幾個米制系統內也使用過，是國際單位制接受的的非SI單位。 升起初的名字是Cadil，其標準展示於巴黎國立工藝博物館。 中華民國在1928年提出《中華民國權度標準方案》中，規定“升”為規定的體積單位名稱。
